Have you ever seen a “Black Madonna”? There is a beautiful mountain 1h from Barcelona where there is Benedictines’ Monastery that holds the Catalans Patron Saint: Sta. María de Montserrat, the black Madonna.
This tour is an opportunity to go out of Barcelona in the morning and see the amazing rocky mountain named Montserrat because of its form. In the middle of it there is the Monastery and several days a week you can assist to the magic moment when the oldest boy’s choir sing a song dedicated to Sta. María de Montserrat, the “Virolai”.
Your arrival at the magnificent Basilica of Montserrat, perhaps the most important spiritual and cultural center of Catalonia, will begin with an introduction by your local guide and after the walking around you will have some free time to enjoy the place, assist to the boys’ performance or buy a cheesecake at the small farmers’ market.
Back in Barcelona at agreed time.
